Hunting and Fishing in NJ

I went out this morning with my new Weatherby 12 gauge pump. I got in the field about 8 am, walked 3 fields before I was able to rustle one up. It took off from my left flank and headed towards my front, it must have been one of the recently stocked birds because it was only about ten yards out. I pulled up, fired and the bird fell. The Weatherby pulled up nice and quick for me and didn't kick hard at all. I walked a bit more but didn't see anything so I am taking a break may go out again later.
