Sguirrel hunting with a GSP

Postby Stagg » Sun Sep 07, 2008 6:05 pm

I was wondering if someone coold help with some ad vice here.

We have a GSP, and I have wife who wants to hunt squirrels. I'm wondering how to combine the 2.

I used to hunt squirrels a lot, but only by my self with a 410. Either by guiet stalking or more often just sit ting down in a thicket and staying guiet for a while. I've never hunted them with a dog, and don't know where to start.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I've already taken my wife out a few times but like most wommen she has trouble shutting up for long periods, so if we could bring our dog along I think all 3 of us would be happier!

This is a good GSP that has won shows an I dont want too rune him.

Shood I bring him sguirrill hunting?
Thanks
