Well, I sat again this afternoon on Management Property in zone 9, and sure enough, just as I was finished filming my pre-hunt, I had 5 deer working their way in. Three of them were definately BB's, one I'm not really sure of, but one was definately a mature doe, so as soon as I had an opportunity, I took a shot at her, hitting my mark perfectly and getting a pass through. I watched her run about 45 yards, stumble and fall, then get back up again, but then I lost her as I couldn't see any farther into the woods. I found her less than 20 yards from where she stumbled the first time. This is my first Winter Bow Deer and it was a self-filmed hunt as well. Oh, and less than 5 minutes after the deer all scattered from my shot, I had different deer coming in, EIGHT OF THEM, one was a nice buck, still holding bone . . . so I shot him . . . with the video camera of course
A big "thank you" to High Guy for coming to my rescue and filming my recovery for me and also for the use of his braun in helping to get my deer out of the woods
