Opening evening success

Opening evening success

Postby gobblergetter » Tue Jan 20, 2009 9:39 am

The fresh snow on the ground made for some very interesting hunting last night. I walked till I cut some fresh tracks and set-up on them. I called in a Yote and a Red Fox. The RedFox wouldn't come in close enough for a shot and eventually circled down wind and caught my scent (Tracks told the whole story)
The Coyote was hunting for mice in the frozen swamp and approached my set-up from a vantage point in the field. Just as he was getting antsy, I was able to make a possitive I.D. and close the deal.

Love it !

When I read yesterday that you were going out last night, it wasnt a question of if there would be pictures of a kill, only when! Way to go GG
