Well tomorrow close's out "week A" and I must say it has been HORRIBLE..... One gobble Monday morning at daybreak then all went quiet..... Same sceanario on Tues. morning.... This time 2 bird's gobbled at daybreak then all went quiet..... Wed. day off due to rain.... Today I went alone as Joe had to work..... As the wood's lightened up I expected to hear bird's..... YEH RIGHT..... NOT ONE GOBBLE TODAY.... Around mid-morning I'm sitting comfortably up against a big oak in an area the bird's alway's have it torn up and I hear a twig snap in back of me..... I have thoughts of a nice big gobbler sneaking in, so I peak around the tree and am eye to eye with about 350 LBS of black fur at about 15 yard's.... After a short stare down old yogi proceed's along side of me and head's down over the hill.... No tag's.... It's amazing how such a big animal can be so quiet in the wood's.... Well one last morning tomorrow.... Thing's gotta pick up....

Rich..... Get a zone 5 permit for the third week and we"ll get out.... The bird's are there so it's only a matter of time..... And YOGI is alway's there....

Rich, I think like we were discussing, with the very cold late winter and early spring we had, it's going to take another week or so up north for things to break wide open, and it will, it's just a matter of timing. As you said, the birds are there. Hopefully things will break open up there for you soon, good luck.

Rich, same thing here. Hunted hard again today. You could not asked for a more perfect morning. Set up half hour before day break. No one single gobble.

I agree with Wink. Birds up North are not turned on yet.
