When using an electronic call and motion decoy, how often should you be hitting the call?

I wouldnt consider myself an expert by any means, but my friends and I have called in a lot of predators.

I found that calling for a few minutes and then shutting up for about 45 minutes to an hour, works. If nothing comes in that time span, move on to another spot.

The foxes seem more consistent in that they show up a short bit after you stop calling almost every time. However the yotes are less predictable. Sometimes they run in while you're calling, sometimes they howl and yip, then break up and circle you. Sometimes they just quietly slip in.

Johnny Stewart from Johnny Stewart calls used to recommend calling for 20 minutes, if nothing shows move on. I haven't hunted enough predators to determine if this is true or not.
