First you got to skin them
Then the fleshing of the hide.
And then the boarding of the fur to dry.

are you doning anything different this season to try and put more fur in the shed? if the snares are giving you a tough time get some cages and hit the coon harder. i'm looking forward to the lil' grizz coming to us.

Are they a definite??

I was under the impression that the beisle foot snare were legal in New Jersey.
Body gripping restraining snares set for
mink, muskrat and nutria are subject to the
following requirements:
• All such traps must be constructed of aircraft
cable or crucible wire measuring 1/32,
3/64 or 1/16 inches in diameter, equipped
with a swivel and set within 50 feet of the
mean high water line;
• All such traps must be equipped with a stop
to prevent the average loop diameter from
exceeding 4 inches
Body gripping restraining snares set for coyote,
fox, opossum, raccoon, skunk and weasel
shall be subject to the following requirements:
• All such traps must be constructed of aircraft
cable of crucible wire measuring from
5/64 to 1/8 inches in diameter and be
equipped with a swivel;
• All such traps must be equipped with a deer
stop locate no less than 6 inches from the
beginning of the cable and a loop stop to prevent
the average loop diameter from exceeding
12 inches

I also know for a fact that they use Collarum snares for Coyotes.
The state needs to define the laws more clearer...They also say the locks need to be of the 'relaxing type' as opposed to ' non-relaxing' but they don't define which locks are or aren't relaxing !
I welcome the dog-proofs with open arms but my question is : Are newly invented traps legal till proven illegal or visea - versa.
