Big Mako and Even BIGGER Great White....

Postby 35Whelan » Mon Jun 21, 2010 5:48 pm

Thought I'd share these pic's with you guy's... Work has two boat's that are named Insuffient Fund's... Same boat's that were on the TV show East vs West Shark Tournament... This weekend they were in one of the shark tournament's down the shore... They won with a 383 lb Mako... They also had a very large Great White in their slick which was estimated over 1000 lb's. Just got a nice big bag of Mako Steak's. George I'll trade you some for some of your home brew... Better yet bring some home brew up and we'll grill them and go swimming...

Great White swimming by boat...

383 lb Mako hooked up... Compare this pic to above pic of Great White.. Doesn't come close

Image

Fish was comming in the boat " ALIVE ".... As they were running out of time and still had to make the run back... So Dave put a bucket over his head...

Image

Time to get him in the boat....

Image

Ok he's in... Note guy's out the back and now standing on the motor mount.. LOL

Image

Note... I think they caught like 13-14 other shark's.... Not bad....

Good god that is one scary mouth of teeth!

Great pics Rich - thanks much for sharing!

Man-Eater and Home Brew? Sounds like a plan - Next batch should be ready in ~30 days or so!

WOW. is all I can say. I have seen some big ones in my days, and have hooked and landed some, but that bab boy is big for our area. An to have a Great White in your slick is the thrill of a life time.
