+1 Dave, and nice to see you(I NEVER go to that other site anymore,LMAO). I have always said that anyone who tells me that fosters are no good beyond 50 yards has never shot a smoothbore slug gun off the bench with a rigidly mounted scope, and therefore has no clue as to what they can really do. I to, like you, have had the best accuracy in a wide variety of smoothbore slug barrels with the 2 3/4 Winchester fosters.
While I am fortunate to have a wide variety of slug guns with both smoothbore and rifled barrels, my favorite 'go to' slug gun is this one.
This used to be a Winchester 1300 Ranger, and then I reworked it and made it to my liking.
20 gauge, 22 inch smoothbore barrel, Weaver style rings and bases, Bushnell Banner 1.5X4.5 variable with duplex recticle. The forend is from a Winchester model 12 that I reworked to fit the 1300 and the stock is from a Winchester 275 22 Magnum pump, which was manufactuered between 1964 to 1972(I think), and I was able to fit it to the gun. It's a pleasure to shoot, and carry, and while it looks pretty, it's a shooter too.
