Went out shooting this morning "pics"

Postby fmjcrack » Wed Dec 03, 2008 11:00 am

Well i took some advice from "BHC" about slug gun ammo and bought the Lightfield Slugs I must say they are Nice with the mossberg 500 , BHC i didnt get a new scope ill have to wait untill some money comes in. But thanks for the info on these slugs. Man they kick for 2 3/4 shells 1 1/4 oz slug

I also bought a Primos Tight wad turkey choke xxfull, so i set the targets up 35 yards away and as you can see what a full choke on the 500 does with #5 2-3/4 shells and with the primos choke. keep in mind i can draw lol, and i also pulled my shot to the left on the primos shot.

Looks like the Primos choke is a winner

I would find a tighter shooting slug then the lightfields  ,
that wouldn't cut it for me :(
Actually it didn't, my lightfields grouped some what like that also
then I tried the Winchester Super X 2 3/4 sabot slugs and
at 50 yards they were just ripping one bigger and bigger hole an inch and a half high ;)

Super X 2 3/4 sabot slugs = 3 shot group at 50 yards

but if you're happy with that grouping, that's all that really matters GOOD LUCK OUT THERE
