Do all shotguns shoot slugs? or do only special ones do? If so which ones? Also as youth hunter do you know any permits/license to go deer hunting with a shotgun?
Just wondering:-)

Most shotguns will shoot some type of slug. They do have special shotguns that are made to shoot slugs and they are the most accurate. You will need some type of sights or scope for deer hunting and of course practice shooting. I put open iron sights on my Browning BPS and shoot Remington 2 3/4" 1 oz. Sluggers with an cylinder choke.

some are rifled slugs which could be used in smooth bore barrels- bird shot barrels ,
and in rifled barrels use sabot slugs ,so ye most shotgun will shoot slugs .

but if you just want a specific gun just for slugs and not bird shot combo ,i would consider a rifled barrel shotgun
and if you consider shooting bird and slugs then look for a smooth bore barrel gun and a choke for the rifled slugs

hope that helps  and i also agree with what Almaink said

good luck this season
sometimes i think deer just parachute out of sky.
hunting is not a competition of man vs man but rather a accomplishment of man vs nature
