Fred, do you really think what you are saying helps hunters? :banghead: :banghead:

I was hoping for an explanation I could understand... Have no idea what that meant or why there are a bunch of smilys ? I guess if he is pro gun in bow season, then the smile was ok. I realize this is a touchy subject but would respect a explanation more. Thanks..Dave

My buddy has one of these Strykers. It is one devastating bow. The whole set up process took a total of a half hour. The first shot was in my block target, which in no way held it back.
I didn't take a pic of that shot, I thought about taking pics after that shot. I made an adjustment to the scope and then he began taking shots at his deer. The first shots were at 20 yards.

Four shots and he was on at 20 yards. The next day with more light he shot 30 and 40 and they were right on no adjustment needed.

Not much excitement there for me or him. He needs to shoot it for now because his is disabled.

He will still have to "hunt" regardless of what he is using to hunt with. Good luck to him.

That's OK as 11 pointer has NO idea either!!!!  :D

Michigan bow hunters bow club made SUCH a "big deal" (sound familiar) the MI DNR made A GUN Season during early bow season to "teach them a lesson" on WHO really "runs things in MI" (IMO)

Also since Fred is SO uninformed on what "is what" in MI (among other states) MI WILL have full crossbow inclusion in the Southern Zone, for 12 and over, in all firearms seasons statewide, and in THREE years will check that data for FULL INCLUSION IN MI STATEWIDE!! (YES I say that is a pro side victory) VERY similar to how PA had the several areas that were full inclusion for some seven years and gathered data (though some in PA acted like there was no PA data LMAO)

So while Fred "thinks" he had some point once again he didn't..... :D

The "Lesson for the Day" here is to NOT call names or otherwise PO the folks who DO make the rules......(wonder who said that SO long ago???)

DOesn't work in MI , didn't work in NJ either........nor anywhere else, so keep on insulting those fine folks......it only hurts every stance you have now and in the future......like it or not you have seen the proof first hand..

You "know this how" exactly?

HOW many deer have YOU killed with a crossbow?

HOW can you possibly know the level of excitement of a crossbow hunter? You don't, yet you make absurd claims based upon nothing of substance, YOU get up a tree with the "magic weapon" You seem to "think" it is, kill a deer , and at least try to be honest....you will "change your tune" real fast IF you're being honest. How do I KNOW?

I KNOW several trad hunters who have tried the crossbow, I have seen them shoot a REAL bow and KNOW their skill level.......ironically NONE of them found the crossbow "easy" or ANY advantage but found several disadvantages, O I know "it's already drawn" SO what IF you can't get a shot due to it's size etc.

You want to talk about "easy" it's VERY easy to sit and type bad stuff about other fellow hunters on a weapon you have NO clue about, NOW that they're legal this season how about YOU giving it a "shot " in the deer woods (borrow one, if you don't want to buy) I issued the same challenge in several states and NOT ONE person has came back (who actually did it) and didn't find out the TRUTH <-- that word again......the HUNT was 100% the SAME /identical to any other bow they'd ever used, the shots were NOT "easy" either, as they were so sure they'd be, you see "thinking" and "doing" are NOT even close to the same as any crossbow hunter WILL tell you!

TRY it then get back at "how easy it is", until then, you're just flapping your gums about something you have no clue at all about.....(not that is something "new" but c'mon those are serious accusations until you back them up with YOUR trying to kill a deer with a crossbow) :D

DO you really "think" it takes some great skill to kill a deer with a compound?

TRY a longbow, or even a recurve, then again get back to us all.....!!!

However IF "it's really about the challenge" TO YOU by all means stop taking the easier way out with your compound use a stick and string ........I KNOW I KNOW .......all talk - Fred
