dark water, stained water, muddy...use DARK COLORS. I really like black and blues.
For those clear lakes where you can see 5+ ft go with things such as watermelon, things that can be seen through and are lighter colored. Things that sparkle are also great.
Spinnerbait blades. Willow leaf blades for a fast presentation and also better for clear water. Colorado blades are usually best in the spring time as they run slower. I fish these in muddy water due to the vibrations they give off. I like to use gold blades when its sunny out and silver blades when its cloudy.
For buzzbaits, heck it doesnt matter all that was. Color for REACTION BAITS such as crankbaits and such doesnt matter as much to the fish as it does to the angler. Thats why its a reaction. It either annoys them or they look for a quick meal of whatever flys by. My two standard buzzbait colors include white for more during the day and black for nightime.
I believe that color does have its advantages at times, but most importantly..whatever you are throwing you must have confidence that it will catch fish. I really have a thing for black and blue..I catch a lot of fish on this color so I buy this the most..also limits me to having one or 2 bags of a certain bait instead of 5 or 10
HOPE THIS HELPS SOMEBODY! I am only 16, but i love fishing and its my life..
